Synopsis
For bride Sophie and groom Mark the saying “till death do us part” takes on a particularly ominous ring on the very day of their wedding. Mark’s well-to-do father Hermann Walzer (Armin Rohde) wants to acquire the property on which the wedding takes place by any means necessary. Much to Walzer’s displeasure, however, its owner – and cook for the wedding – Franz Berger (Uwe Ochsenknecht) is not in the least interested. When the first course proves less than tasty, things start to heat up. Slowly but surely the wedding spins out of control. The idyllic estate morphs into a beleaguered fortress, with the violence escalating on both sides. Walzer couldn’t care less about dragging along the people on the sidelines in his personal vendetta. Every attempt to call off the obstinate brawlers fails and the wedding hurtles towards its surprising conclusion.
