Save Sandra, based on a true story, has received standing ovations and excellent reviews in several countries in the past month. In addition to many positive reactions, Save Sandra also received several awards. At the Swedish Hope International Film Festival it won the award for Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Actor (Sven De Ridder). At the Emden-Norderney International Film Festival in Germany, the film conquered the audience and took home the Bernard Wicki Award for Best Direction. The film was also a hit at the Film by the Sea festival in Vlissingen, the Festival International du Film Francophone in Namur and the European Film Festival in South Africa.
Save Sandra is currently screened in all Flemish cinemas and in Brussels.
