The shoot of ‘Ritual’, Hans Herbots’ new feature film has started in Tervuren. The thriller stars Marie Vinck as Kiki and Geert Van Rampelberg as Nick Cafmeyer. The script is written by Carl Joos and based on the best-selling novel ‘Ritual’ by Mo Hayder.
Kiki is an athletic police diver, specialised in forensic diving and body recovery. She’s had to work hard to earn the respect of the small team of macho men she leads. When Kiki fishes a severed hand out of a Brussels canal, she comes into contact with Chief Inspector Nick Cafmeyer. The hand appears to have been sawed off of a living body. To Nick it looks like a settling of scores in the drug world, but based on her background, Kiki has a very different take on the case.
