‘Homegrown 3’: Airing 1st of January

The third season of ‘Homegrown’ will be on air (Eén) every Tuesday, starting January 1st.

Season 3 picks up from the exciting finale of season 2: Chantal realizes that the Welvaert family has been lying to her and has in fact been growing weed right under her nose. But can she prove it? Driven, she sets to work.

Jos and Ria are oblivious to the danger. Ria just thinks it is a pity that Chantal is so busy and never has time to pop round for cookies and coffee anymore. Jos doesn’t give it a thought, he’s worrying about his pension. Frank and Julita are finally pregnant again, but they have got more than they bargained for. Steven has to deal with the aftermath of his adventure in Chantal’s bedroom.

Moreover, the Babel-like confusion in Wijtschate reaches its peak. As well as West Flemish, Filipino and West Flenglish, the Antwerp dialect and French are now thrown into the mix. Chantal gets a boss from Antwerp (Peter Van den Begin). And a French criminal gang (Serge Larivière, Jean-Luc Couchard, Tom Ternest), thoroughly confuses the Welvaert family. We also get to know Griet’s parents: investigative judge Despriet (Mathias Sercu) and Betsy (Katelijne Verbeke).

The last season of ‘Homegrown’ will, as ever, bring laughter and tears, along with the madcap adventures of the likable West-Flanders potato-growing family we all love so much.
