‘THE TWELVE’ – SHOOTING ALMOST BEGINS

On november 6th the new series ‘The Twelve’ starts shooting. The new, contemporary, character-driven mystery, which revolves around the jury of a murder trial, will shoot for 100 days.

Shooting mostly takes place in and around Ghent. The courtroom of the city will be the main location.

The story

Twelve citizens are called up for jury duty on a controversial murder case.

They do not have an easy task ahead of them. They will decide on the guilt or innocence of the respected headmistress Frie Palmers (46), who stands accused of two murders. The trial is not only decisive for Frie’s fate. The lives of the jury members also take new turns because of the sensational murder case. As time goes by, the assize case becomes a trial not only for the accused but for the jury members themselves.

The screenplay was written by Sanne Nuyens & Bert Van Dael (‘Beau Séjour’), Wouter Bouvijn is the director.
